Discover The natural charm of the Perche

The Perche is one of France’s most authentic regions. Its natural landscape is protected, allowing you to step back in time and enjoy this truly bucolic and beautiful environment.

The Perche is rolling green hills, dotted with manor houses in yellow-toned stone and, of course, the Percheron. The Percheron are majestic workhorses with white or dappled grey coats that you will see when you visit the Manoir de Courboyer, a 15th-century manor house now the park’s visitor center and your first stop in the Perche.

The best way to see the Perche is by car. Quiet country roads will take you past regional highlights, including the chateau ruins of Ferté Vidame and the nearby Chapelle de Réveillon, the fortress of Nogent-le-Rotrou, the gardens of the Abbey at Thiron-Gardais, the Château de Frazé, and many more fortified farms and manor houses.

You could also take your bicycle or try your hand at fishing in the region’s natural lakes.

If you are looking for country charm and green nature, the Perche is for you!
