Golfing at Maintenon

Where better to tee-off than on the grounds of a great French chateau!

Golfing at Maintenon - Patrick Forget / www.sagaphoto.comLess than an hour from Paris, the Golf du Chateau du Maintenon, is located adjacent to the historic home of Madame de Maintenon, mistress of Louis XIV. The course offers views to the chateau, but also to the amazing aqueduct that Louis XIV was building to bring water to the fountains of Versailles. The aqueduct was never finished, but its ruins create a unique backdrop as you relax and take in a round of golf.

The course is18-holes. It's a fairly flat, but technical course featuring several natural water hazards. There's also a restaurant and hotel.
