In an unpretentious residential section of Chartres, is a tiny house turned work of art. From 1938 to 1964, Raymond Isidore decorated every surface of his home, inside and out, with broken pieces of china. His work even carries into the garden. The mosaic designs range from renditions of Chartres Cathedral to exotic animals, flowers and abstract motifs. There were no limits to his imagination. Today, the house is owned by city and open to the public.
A great place to bring children!
