Chartres en Lumières

In Chartres, from 11 April to 20 September, twenty or so of the city's most beautiful buildings and sites are draped in light and music. The city becomes a poetic sight, the highlight being the royal front of the cathedral illuminated in colour. On 20 September, the celebration comes to a close with the Festival of Light featuring illuminations of new sites, concerts and street shows etc.
