Visitor’s Center for the Parc Naturel Régional du Perche
Begin your voyage into the natural park that encompasses the entire Perche region at this traditional Percheron manor, now a visitor’s center.
The Perche was designated a “Parc Naturel Régional” in 1998, in order to protect this exceptional landscape. The park covers 182,000 hectares, and is dotted with villages, farms, forests and manors. The renovated Manoir de Courboyer welcomes visitors to the park, with information, exhibitions, films, and, in the boutique, local produce like apple cider. Dating to the 15th century, it is a typically Perchon structure. The yellow wall color comes from local sand used as mortar. Surrounded by fields, stables and orchards, you won’t want to miss a ride in a carriage pulled by Percheron horses.
