Louis XIV gave the Chateau of Maintenon to Françoise d’Aubigné before making her Madame de Maintenon and his secret wife. The Chateau of Anet was home to the famed beauty, Diane de Poitiers mistress of Henri II.

And visit the fascinating medieval garden at Bois-Richeux, situated within the walls of an historic 13th-14th century farm.

Nights will be spent in a romantic Bed and Breakfast, Les Chandelles ( a charming farmhouse complete with horses and stables) in the heart of this idyllic, historic valley.
