The Farcot Museum collections are now open to visitors. The entire museum trail has been cleverly designed by Jean-Marc Providence and the COMPA team.It traces the life of the legatee, Eugène Farcot, who wanted to bring a museum culture to his native town, Sainville, where he was born in 1830. The layout of the collections is designed as a showcase of curiosities, as was in vogue in the 19th century. The tour will take the visitor back in time in the watch-making room. Eugène Farcot's journey as a watchmaker is told there. An ingenious and renowned watchmaker, he exhibited a monumental clock near the Queen of England's jewellery at the 1878 Universal Exhibition in Paris. With a dazzling social ascent, Eugène Farcot had a passion for travelling.
